About the Survey
The employee opinion survey used to determine the National Capital Region's Employees’ Choice Award recipients consists of four main sections and two open-ended comment questions, and should take on average approximately 4-5 minutes to complete. Employees are asked to indicate their level of agreement on 4-8 questions within each of the following dimensions:
- Engagement: How motivated employees are to perform to the highest standards, their willingness to apply creative energy at work and how much interest they have in the organization's success.
- Immediate Management: A measure of the quality of supervisory coaching and leadership skills displayed by an immediate manager.
- Leadership: Commitment from leaders is critical to creating an environment that engages employees. This section quantifies the trust and confidence placed in the senior leadership team to achieve the objectives of your organization.
- Professional Growth: Employees want to learn and grow; this section gauges the quality of the opportunities that are available for employees to develop their career at your organization.
The ECA survey will:
- Determine what it is that makes an organization a top employer, as seen through the eyes of its employees,
- Assess how well each participating organization is currently perceived by its employees,
- Highlight unique practices and policies used by the recipients of the Employees’ Choice Award, and
- Identify emerging workplace trends in the National Capital Region.
Note: All organizational data will be considered strictly confidential and will not be sold or released to any third party.
