Methodology
Overview
All participating organizations in the Employees’ Choice Award study must complete two (2) mandatory components:
- The employer registration form (to determine eligibility for participation)
- The employee opinion survey
Survey Components
The employee opinion survey has been tested extensively to determine reliability, validity, and independence of the factors in analysis. It is a modified version of an employee engagement survey designed and used by TalentMap, the firm completing the data analysis for the Employees’ Choice Awards (ECA) survey.
The minimum response rate required by organization size is:

Note: Organizations with 500 or more employees that wish to survey a random sample of their employees should contact TalentMap directly to generate the sample and confirm the required response rate.
By registering, your organization agrees to abide by the guidelines we provide for randomly distributing surveys if you choose to survey a random sample of your employee population and unionized employees must be included. Contact TalentMap if you wish to generate a random sample.
Confidentiality Policy
All sponsoring partners and committee members are committed to maintaining the absolute confidentiality of survey participants and will at no time release the names of participating organizations or individual survey responses. Only the names of organizations selected as recipients of the Employees’ Choice Award will be publicly released.
